Critical and Emerging TechnologiesOur four countries are committed to responsible innovation in critical and emerging technologies. Since launching the Critical and Emerging Technologies Working Group at the first-ever leader-level summit of the Quad, in March 2021, Quad partners have mapped collective capacity and vulnerabilities in global semiconductor supply chains, and launched the Common Statement of Principles on Critical Technology Supply Chains, which will provide a cooperative foundation for enhancing supply-chain resilience in the region. At the same time, Quad partners are exploring ways to collaborate on the deployment of open and secure telecommunications technologies in the region, working with industry through Open RAN Track 1.5 dialogues.

The World Health Summit (WHS) 2022 opened on 16 October in Berlin with a ceremony at which the WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros\r\n Adhanom Ghebreyesus, was joined by German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the presidents of France and Senegal, as well as other high-ranking dignitaries.
WHS 2022 aimed to strengthen exchange, stimulate innovative solutions to health challenges, position global health as a key political issue and promote a global health conversation in the spirit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
No accreditation was required for online participation. Keynote sessions were livestreamed. All sessions are available via Zoom links available at WHS 2022 Programme.\r\n Recordings of all 60 sessions are available on the WHS YouTube channel.

The fourth National Saltwater Recreational Fisheries Summit is scheduled for March 29-30, 2022 in Arlington, Virginia. We are planning on an in-person meeting, with the option for live streaming of the plenary sessions. Any changes to this status will be posted to this event webpage and the Eventbrite registration page.
The theme for the 2022 Summit is Recreational Fisheries in a Time of Change. Our world is experiencing substantial change that is affecting many facets of life, including our oceans and fisheries. Climate change, novel uses of ocean space, new technologies, and more, offer both challenges and opportunities for collaboration to safeguard and improve the state of recreational fisheries. The recreational fishing community, managers, and scientists must work together to understand and adapt to these changes to ensure abundant and sustainable recreational fishing opportunities for this generation and the next.

The 3-day summit continued efforts to strengthen ties with African partners based on principles of mutual respect and shared interests and values. The annual API Innovator Awards give us the opportunity to shine a light on the projects and people who are ahead of the pack in their use of Kong. Submissions are open for nominees -- and will be open through August 11. All winners will be recognized at the awards ceremony during Kong Summit 2022 on September 29, 2022. If Summit registration is canceled by the attendee between August 2, 2022 and August 22, 2022, the attendee will be entitled to a 50% refund of the registered package fee price of Summit Participation ticket. There will be no refund to the attendee for the Summit Participation ticket if Summit registration is cancelled by the attendee after August 22, 2022.
The summit was held in a hybrid format, with international enforcers and state attorneys general participating both in-person and virtually. Throughout the day, the agencies livestreamed several panel discussions and interviews to the public.

The Bloomberg American Health Initiative will host its fifth annual summit, themed this year "Public Health: On Location," December 5-7, to bring together Initiative fellows, faculty and public health leaders for networking, learning and opportunities to see public health in action in the city of Brotherly Love and across the nation.
